Take in CHBA’s Parade of Homes

Fourteen of Kamloops’ best homes including The Villas are being showcased in a new event by the Canadian Home Builders Association Central Interior (CHBA-CI) called the Parade of Homes.

“We understand looking for a home can be a challenge, but this is a fun way for the people of Kamloops to get a sense of what’s out there,” said CHBA-CI president Matt McCurrach.

“Each home will be unique in style featuring latest in trends and workmanship.”

The Parade of Homes will offer new homebuyers, and those thinking of building or remodeling, an opportunity to get exposed to different homes and ask questions.

Local professional builders, land developers and product suppliers will be on hand to provide answers regarding new products, technologies and designs.

Parade attendees are eligible to win a barbecue if they visit at least five homes and get the qualifying stamps. The barbecue is donated by Rona Home Centre.

2016 Keystone Awards Finalist

The Canadian Home Builders Association Central Interior (CHBA) announces the 2016 finalists of the 11th Annual Keystone Awards.

“We were thrilled to have been selected as a finalist for Best Multi Family Development,” said Craftsman Ventures – General Manager of Real Estate, Greg Hatswell. “There are some really great developments in the Thompson-Nicola region and we are pleased to have The Villas on VanHorne Drive recognized as one of them.”

The following finalist companies are SILVER award winners and will compete for the GOLD award which will be announced at the Keystone Awards Gala at Sun Peaks Grand.

The judging of entries took place on Friday, February 5th  by three well-respected award winning professionals in the home building industry. Robert Capar of maison d’etre design-build inc., Alex Tavuchis of RDC Fine Homes and Mike Brar of Barnett Construction Ltd. drew on their experience and expertise to adjudicate each entry in its category.

The judges spent a full day reviewing the entries and making their assessment. Each judge gave their completed ballot to our monitor, a representative from BDO Canada LLP, who recorded each judge’s vote.

Winners will be announced on April 2, 2016.

The Villas show home is almost complete. Be the first to view Phase 1 of this beautiful development built by Craftsman Ventures this weekend from 1pm until 3pm.

The Villas is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Aberdeen in Kamloops, BC. The development showcases duplex and triplex townhomes in Phase 1 and 2, followed by condominiums in Phase 3.
